Special Court is one of the special features under the SC/ST PoA Act 1989 and its main objective is to ensure speedy justice to the survivors of caste atrocities. Capacitating the committed advocates who can conduct effective prosecution in the special court on behalf of the survivors under Rule 4 (5) of the SC/ST PoA Act that empowers the survivors to choose the advocates with their own choice. This will effectively contribute to increasingly access to justice by the survivors of caste atrocities.
